Women’s Care Work in Modern Korea: Balancing Work and Family Life

Home/Women’s Care Work in Modern Korea: Balancing Work and Family Life
As part of the Kyujanggak Korean Studies Research Cluster Project at Seoul National University, there has been a growing effort toward understanding women’s experience in care and work through time; from colonial times, to industrialization and present day modern Korea, this project focuses on exploring the evolution of care through generations of women. Thus, a basic search has been conducted to develop a long-term research topic on how Korean society’s policies and institutions have responded accordingly to these changes.
