Event | CTMS Research Team and Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing®) at University Putra Malaysia jointly host Workshop
The CTMS research team from Seoul National University will participate in the CTMS - MyAgeing® Workshop Series,jointly organized with MyAgeing® at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) from November 19 to 21, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Focused on intergenerational care and ageing-related issues, this workshop series will feature CTMS Director Ki-Soo Eun, Senior Research Fellows Jiweon Jun and Hyuna Moon, and Researchers Minseok Kang and Bora Yeon as speakers and panelists. The team will share insights on population ageing and the care economy in South Korea and Malaysia, exploring approaches to strengthen intergenerational solidarity.
This workshop series will bring together experts, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and stakeholders from various sectors and disciplines to engage in multi-dimensional discussions. Key topics will include the increasing demand for integrated care systems due to declining fertility rates and rising life expectancy in both countries, as well as the socioeconomic and healthcare challenges that come with these demographic shifts. With an emphasis on fostering collective responsibility and sustainable care systems, the series also aims to build collaborative networks among government ministries, agencies, researchers, and practitioners, promoting partnerships to develop age- and family-friendly policies and initiatives in local communities.
