Kyuwon Choi is a research assistant at the Center for Transnational Migration and Social Inclusion(CTMS) based at Seoul National University. Having lived a nomadic life, with genuine interest in nomadism and migration her academic journey began with a bachelor's and master's in Tourism at Kyung Hee University, followed by a master's in International Cooperation from Seoul National University's Graduate School of International Studies. Her interdisciplinary research interests involve combining tourism with the issues of migrants, focusing on migrant ethnic enclaves.
